Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Clarksville.

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Clarksville Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

This was a helpful and fun event. Chelsea was so easy to work with and Johnny has lots of tips and tricks. Loved the small group giving more one on one instruction.

Johnnie did a great job guiding us through the park, finding good subject matter, and brought reflectors and lighting so we could try different shots of the same subject and learn about the effects. Great learning event, thank you!

My oldest daughter is graduating with her Masters Degree this year and asked me if I would take some graduation pics for her. I normally don't do portrait work but this was a special occasion. The weather outside wasn't very cooperative and the light was flat but soft. One Ad200 in a softbox gave the shot a little more pop. Most importantly my daughter loves the shots

I rarely delete any of my shots unless there are technical problems that cannot be overcome. When I initially reviewed my shots from this series I wasn't sure what I might do with it but I felt like it was a good capture. This shot was done in studio against a 50 grey backdrop. I used a series of overlays to give it a dreamy background. I hope you enjoy!

The interesting thing about the background in this photo is how the day unfolded. It had been gray, cold, and sleeting nonstop, with ice steadily accumulating on the branches and power lines, growing heavier by the hour. Remarkably, about an hour before this photo was taken, the sleet stopped, and the clouds began to roll away, almost like a miracle. As the sun set, it cast a warm glow behind the ice-encased trees, creating a stunning glare and lighting effect. The ice on the road added to the s

I was walking around the rocks at sunset, enjoying the clouds, and thinking I had better get to shelter as that rain burst was heading my way. The sun suddenly highlighted the underside of the rain cloud, and I managed a few shots.I also got rained on very soon afterwards!Canon R6M2 with kit lens 24-105mm.ISO 2000, 24mm, f9.0, 1/1000s. The Old Oak Tree, 2025.This is one of my favorite trees. It is situated alone in a huge field on a little farm near where I live. Every time I see it and the little rope swing that hangs from it, it just fills me with a sense of peace and tranquility. I wanted to portray that in this minimalist, high key version of it.
